Benefiting Charities and Partner Organizations
The Lograsso Family could not be more thrilled about this "kids helping kid's" concept!
We feel now that Kyle has overcome his battle with cancer and we must do all we can to give
back to the organizations that saved his life! It is because of the research conducted
at the Eye Tumor Research Foundation and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia that Kyle's life
was spared. Our family also spent some time at the Ronald McDonald house in Philadelphia and
that is an amazing place! Thank you so much for joining in our fight to reach the Lograsso Family
goal of one day finding a cure. That day may not even be in our lifetime but we feel it is important
to take advantage of opportunities in our lifetime that better the lives of others.
The Eye Tumor Research Foundation
The Eye Tumor Research Foundation is a foundation devoted to research in eye cancers
and eye tumors in an effort to win the struggle for life and sight. The ultimate goal
of the Foundation is to improve patient care by improving methods of diagnosis and treatment
of affected patients. The contributions made to the foundation are specifically for one purpose
- to provide support for research in the investigation of eye cancers and eye tumors.
This organization is based out of the Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia where Kyle has
been treated from day one.
Childrens Hospital Of Philadelphia
Kyle was treated by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and we believe it is so important
to do all we can to prevent another child from going through what Kyle did. The Children's
Foundation will benefit through this fund and aids in all pediactric oncology research.
Els for
Autism Golf Challenge
Every once in a while a cause resonates so profoundly that we need to respond. I
so appreciate that you’re joining with me to combat the epidemic of autism. I
know firsthand what families go through, my 8 year old son Ben is on the autism
spectrum. I’ve been through all the stages from “why me” to “why can’t I fix
this?”. This year we’re going to play great golf but we’re also going to
accept the challenge of raising money to create the Els Center of Excellence, a
model for the world of what should be made available for children on the autism
spectrum. It’s driven by a global digital learning platform that will allow
therapeutic best practices to reach families in need all over the world.
The
First Tee
The First Tee is a World
Golf Foundation initiative dedicated to providing
young people of all backgrounds an opportunity to develop, through golf and
character education, life-enhancing values such as honesty, integrity and
sportsmanship. The intent is to offer opportunities for improvement in the
quality of life and create a platform where children can increase their
potential for success.
Kids on the Hill
The purpose of the Kids on the Hill program is to introduce the game of golf and it's life values
to Philadelphia Police Athletic League (PAL) kids who might not otherwise have the opportunity,
and, to continue nurturing their interest in golf by way of improving individual skills.
Thanks to the contributions of individual donors, over 100 PAL kids participate each year
in the 8 week program, many of which have continued on to play high school and even collegiate golf.
Police officers from each local PAL center serve as counselors, and a team of PGA professionals and
apprentices provide the driving range and on-course instruction.
The U.S. Kids Golf Foundation
